Occupational Therapy

We provide assessment and therapeutic services for children with developmental and learning disorders. We also aid parents in nurturing their children. Our team comprises psychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, educational therapists, dieticians and early intervention teachers.


Facilitating Child Development

For children aged 1.5 to 17 years old

Developed with the aim of helping children prevent, reduce or overcome the effects of disabilities, our occupational therapy programmes aim to help children develop and maintain their capacities to perform essential everyday tasks. Ms Pooja Shah is a principal occupational therapist at SBCC Child Development with over 21 years in early development intervention of children.

She has worked with children with various developmental and physical needs including those with developmental delays such as ASD, ADHD, , Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), Dyspraxia, Visual-motor Dysfunction, Handwriting difficulties, coordination dysfunctions cerebral palsy, ataxia and many other learning difficulties and multiple disabilities in private clinics, mainstream schools and home-based settings. Her special interest lies in Early Intervention of children (0-6 years old) with sensory processing, regulation and social- emotional difficulties.

Mr Leong Wai Ming is a Principal Occupational Therapist at SBCC Child Development, and has been working with children and adolescents with special needs for more than 20 years.

He has worked in various settings in special schools, early intervention centres and public hospitals and as such has experience with a wide range of conditions including autism, cerebral palsy, attention deficit and hyperactivity, dyspraxia and developmental delays.

Ms Eugenia Pereira is an Occupational Therapist with more than 15 years’ of experience.

Eugenia has been working with children with a variety of difficulties and diagnoses including: Fine/Gross Motor Difficulties, Handwriting Difficulties, Sensory Processing Disorder, ASD, ADD/ADHD, Down Syndrome, Premature Birth Complications, Developmental Delays, Learning Difficulties, Poor Social Skills and Inappropriate Behaviors.
