Dr. Chia Foong Lin is a Ministry of Health-accredited Paediatrician specialising in general paediatrics. With extensive experience in treating common newborn and childhood conditions, she is skilled in managing ailments such as jaundice, respiratory infections, allergies, and asthma. Dr. Chia graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1985, followed by a Master of Medicine in 1990. She obtained her paediatric fellowship from the Academy of Medicine Singapore in 1996 and was subsequently listed on the Roll of Specialists in 1997.
Before joining SBCC, Dr. Chia ran her own paediatric practice for 27 years, offering daily care to her patients. She provided comprehensive care for newborns, from the delivery room to the general nursery, monitored their growth and development, and administered vaccinations. Dr. Chia also managed emergency consultations for sick children at the hospital. She takes great pride in caring for children as they grow, finding even greater joy in treating the next generation of babies when these children raised their own families.
