Dr Theresa Toh graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She subsequently obtained Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) and Master of Medicine (Paediatrics), and completed her Paediatric Medicine Exit Examination and Paediatric Intensive Care Exit Examination under the Joint Committee on Specialist Training (JCST), Singapore.
She completed comprehensive training in Paediatric Medicine and Paediatric Intensive Care in Singapore and is accredited as a Specialist in Paediatric Medicine. Dr Toh has experience in managing a broad range of paediatric conditions, including acute and complex cases.
Prior to joining SBCC as a Consultant Paediatrician, Dr Theresa Toh served in various clinical and educational leadership roles. She has served as Chief Resident and faculty member for paediatric residency and undergraduate programmes and is an instructor for advanced life support and critical care courses.
Dr Toh has received multiple teaching and professional excellence awards within the SingHealth network and remains involved in postgraduate medical education. She has contributed to medical education initiatives in collaboration with Duke-NUS Medical School and national training bodies.
In addition to her clinical and teaching work, Dr Toh has contributed actively to research, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and international conference presentations in paediatric critical care, peri-operative anaphylaxis, ECMO and sedation practices. Her work has been published in international journals including JAMA Network Open, Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, Frontiers in Nutrition and Anaesthesia and Intensive Care.
She has also served on institutional committees related to clinical documentation and training. Dr Toh is committed to improving paediatric care through education, quality improvement and international humanitarian outreach.
