Senior / Speech & Language Therapist

Job description

  • To assess and identify speech, language and functional needs of children and adolescents
  • Develop treatment plans and, provide evidenced-based group and individual therapy for children with:
  • Speech and language delays,
  • Language and communication disorders,
  • Feeding and swallowing disorders,
  • Autism and,
  • Other development disorders

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and deliver a complete specialized speech and language therapy program based on sound knowledge of evidence based practice and treatment options
  • Effectively write SLT assessment reports
  • Maintain files and records for the purpose of documenting activities
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and resources and, to keep supplies in a clean and usable condition
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and develop new therapy programs
  • Facilitating groups and develop IEPs related to SLT services in CDC Early Intervention Program

Job requirement

  • Minimum Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Holds a valid practicing certificate with Allied Health Professions Council
  • Advantage: Experience in Paediatric Population
  • Good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in team and independently
  • Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills
  • A resourceful person and team player
  • Committed to stay competent and up-to-date with current practices
